How It Began
When Ajla moved to the United States, the first thing she missed was her mother’s cooking, the comfort, the flavors, the feeling of home. She looked for food that tasted like the meals she grew up with, dishes made with tradition, care, and identity. But those foods were hard to find. They weren’t in restaurants, and they definitely weren’t on delivery apps. They were hidden in homes, made by incredible cooks who weren’t being seen.
The more she talked to home cooks, caterers, bakers, and food truck owners, the clearer the picture became: they were all dealing with the same frustration. The same roadblocks. The same lack of visibility. The same unfair reality. That’s when the idea sparked.
“What if there were a place where customers could find talented creators easily? A place where talented food creators could run their business without chaos, confusion, or gatekeeping? A place that finally brought real people and real food together?”
The Missing Piece
So Ajla began validating the problem talking to creators, listening to their pain points, understanding their workflow, and noticing the massive disconnect between supply and demand. The problem was real. And it desperately needed a solution. From that moment, Caterlush was born. Not as another delivery app, but as a community marketplace built for the people who cook with heart. A platform that:

Caterlush exists because independent food creators deserve better. They deserve a seat at the table, not behind it. And this is where our story begins. A missed dish. A charcuterie business. A problem so widespread that it became impossible to ignore. And a vision to build a home for the creators who feed our communities.
