Our Story

Caterlush was born from our appetites for food that feels like home. Our co-founders, Ajla and Snghyun, both come from cultures with rich, flavorful cuisines. But living far from home, they found themselves searching for familiar flavors "like mom made it."

Although restaurants, their own cooking, and meal kits came close, they found themselves craving true home cooking. At the same time, they noticed something: there were talented cooks all around them. After years of inviting their friends over for dinners (and going to others' homes for dinners) they realized that home cooking was all around them. Home cooking could come from anyone, but these cooks didn't have the platform to introduce their food to other people. These were people with the power to bring people together, feed communities, and carry on traditions.

That's how Caterlush came to life: out of a love for homemade meals and a goal to help these creators shine. Caterlush is more than a marketplace — it's a movement. A place where:
