Hello! My name is Evelyn. I started baking when I was 8 because my mom wouldn't keep sweets in the house. Over the years, my passion for baking expanded into a passion for cooking. In college, I started a food blog that allowed me to eat my way through NYC and exposed me to so many interesting flavor combinations and cultures. Since then, I've travelled as much as possible. The first thing I do when I go to a new place is investigate the food scene. The result has been my own endless experimentation with global flavors and unique ingredients. Along the way I also discovered that I'm sensitive to saturated fats, food dyes, and many food additives. Inferior ingredients left me itchy and sluggish. Yet, I found they were almost impossible to avoid when eating out, especially when buying dessert. That's why, Evjoy focuses on natural, whole, and seasonal ingredients. I believe in joyful food that nourishes both the body and soul.
