Hi, I’m Lisa, the heart behind Lisa’s Kitchen. Cooking has always been my love language, a way to comfort, connect, and celebrate life’s moments. I grew up surrounded by the rich flavors of Jamaica, where food wasn’t just a meal, it was a memory. My biggest inspiration is my mom, a strong woman who taught me that no matter what life throws at you, you can still create something beautiful - starting with what’s in your kitchen. 
 
I started Lisa’s Kitchen because I wanted to bring that same warmth and authenticity to my community. In Hartford, I saw how much people missed the real taste of Jamaica - the kind that’s slow-cooked, well-seasoned, and made with love. Every dish I make comes from that place - whether it’s my tender oxtail, creamy baked mac &amp; cheese, or my signature homemade BBQ sauce, I cook with my heart in every bite. 
 
What makes my food special isn’t just the flavor, it’s the feeling. When you taste it, I want you to feel at home, to feel cared for, and to know that it was made with intention and love. Lisa’s Kitchen is more than a catering business, it’s a piece of my story, shared with everyone who sits down to enjoy my food. 
 
Because to me, good food is about more than how it looks or tastes - it’s about the love that goes into it. And trust me… you can’t tell me that don’t look good.
